While the Midwest is home to many spectacular tourist destinations, there’s only one place that has it all. From theme parks and riverboat cruises to fine dining and sunset strolls along the riverwalk, this tiny town tucked away in the middle of rural Wisconsin tops them all.

If you’ve ever visited the upper Midwest, or know someone who lives there, then there’s a good chance at some point you’ve heard of a little town known as “The Dells”. The Wisconsin Dells is a tiny town nestled on the Wisconsin River just north of the state’s capital. It consists of only 20 square miles and 5,500 full-time residents but boasts itself as “the waterpark capital of the world”.

Famously known for its beautiful scenery and home to over 400 businesses, parks, and attractions, The Dells welcomes over 4 million visitors annually. While there is no shortage of hotel accommodations, homes and condos continue to be some of the most sought-after places to stay from visitors in neighboring states, and the market options for rental properties are plentiful.

In case that’s not enough to convince you, here are four reasons why investing in a rental property in this prime location should be your next big move!

  • Rich History

Discovered by the French in the 1700s but already well-known by the Native tribes in the area by then, the area is rich in historical elements. According to local legends, the river and the resulting sandstone cliffs were carved out by a great serpent. Archaeologically speaking, the area was created as the result of the meltdown of the area’s glaciers. In the 1800s, the area was home to logging companies. Word began to spread of its beauty and it soon became one of the country’s top tourist destinations.
