If you are exploring the market to buy a new Android smartphone, Google Pixel 2 XL would definitely be one of your choices. Google Pixel 2 XL with its excellent camera, impressive look and stellar goes toe-to-toe with the fierce competition in the market today.
The beta version of Android P was released a few weeks back on various devices. You can check the list of Android P Beta devices here. The sole purpose of the unveiling of the new android is to let people test it before the release of the original one. As per the custom, Google is expected to launch its next pixel smartphone with the commercial release of Android P.
Could Google be hinting at the new pixel smartphone through the beta version of Android P? The feature representation phone of the preview of Android P looks a lot like Google Pixel 2 XL but with much smaller bezels overall. It is actually quite interesting that we see edge to edge display with no notch or chin. Thin bezels make it a very appealing design. We can tell that it is a Google pixel phone since we can see the volume and power key on the right. The phone will have front stereo speakers so maybe the bezels won’t be quite as thin but who knows, they might sacrifice the front speakers for thinner bezels and shift the secondary speakers to bottom of the phone. If Google pulls this off then this phone might be a serious contender.

We found the notch design in Apple’s iOS 11 league, same goes for Samsung and it might be true for Google as well. All we can do is wait for the final release.
Last year’s Pixel 2 still has the best camera but it is not quite as good in sales as compared to Samsung and Apple. The design might not have been that premium and display is bad in comparison to Samsung or Apple. This year things might change with pixel 3 with no notch display and thin bezels and amazing screen to body ratio.
Also, Google and LG have made something incredible. They made a display that has 1443 PPI (parts per inch) and 120Hz refresh rate. This 4.3 inch, 4800 by 3840 prototype panel is the world’s highest resolution for glass display. It is for VR experience but if they somehow manage to use this technology for Pixel 3, it would be incredible. Right now, it will probably not happen but as we know that Google and LG are collaborating, it might mean that on Pixel 3, we will see an LG made panel and hopefully they will do a better job than they did for Pixel 2 XL.
